I apologize that I cannot write in Polish. Last month I visited Lapsze Wyzne, the home of my Griglak ancestors. Several brothers left that town in the early 1900s and settled in America. Walking the streets of the town, I wondered if there might be living relatives after all these years. For some time, they lived in House #90. Before that, the lived in Houses #160 and #109. Of course, that was a long time ago.
Recently, I had a professional genealogy report written for the family, taking it back as far as the mid-1700s. I would be happy to share any information that I have. My grandfather was Antonius Griglak, born 11 January 1883. His parents were Laurentius Griglyak and Catharina Schechovits. He married Aloysia Glovianda of Lapszanka.
It is a beautiful town. I hope to return soon, and further hope that the weather is better so that I can visit the old cemetery where so many ancestors are buried.
